Chennai, dated the 10th April, 2026

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital under the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Civil Defence Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a hospital carrying on the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies shall furnish Form A to the Relief Commissioner within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hospital carrying on the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies shall make an application in Form A to the Relief Commissioner within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies is undertaken, and the Relief Commissioner shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
