ABOUT THE COMPANION
The source comes first.
This companion helps people find and read material held by the India Code demonstration register. It keeps generated explanations visibly separate from the source.
What it can do
Resolve citations and register codes, show complete source packets and recorded versions, and generate an English or Hindi explanation grounded in a selected source.
What it cannot decide
It does not determine whether a law applies to you, predict an outcome, or replace advice from a qualified professional. Missing material does not mean that no law exists.
AI and your question
Questions, recent conversation and retrieved source text are sent to OpenAI to prepare explanations. Source-linked points and general AI guidance are labelled separately. Wording and source checks cannot guarantee that an explanation, translation or legal conclusion is correct. Do not include identifiers or private documents in a demonstration question.
Voice
Live voice streams microphone audio to OpenAI while the session is active, and processes completed turns automatically. End voice stops the microphone. Recording a message sends the recording for transcription when recording ends; the transcript can be edited before Send. Microphone permission can be denied and the question typed instead.
Information on this device
Working conversation, notes and guided-check figures use this tab’s session storage for recovery. Save summary explicitly keeps a frozen copy in this browser’s local storage until removed. Recent sources are also stored here. Downloads remain wherever the browser saves them. Clearing site data removes browser-held copies, not downloads. There is no account sync or cloud backup. The guided turnover calculation sends no figures to an AI model.
