STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Home Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of land assessed to revenue by holders of land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of land carrying on the holding of land assessed to revenue shall make an application in Form 2 to the Land Tribunal within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that certificate of occupancy is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Land Tribunal within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Odisha.
