STANDING ORDER
To
All Village Development Officers,
Subject: The construction of a building in a village by owners of a building in a village under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 (Uttar Pradesh Act 26 of 1947), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the construction of a building in a village by owners of a building in a village.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building in a village carrying on the construction of a building in a village shall make an application in Form 8 to the District Panchayat within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Village Development Officer shall ensure that muster roll is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Panchayat within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
