STANDING ORDER

To

All Extension Officers,

Subject: The leasing of a village tank by lessees of a village tank under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the leasing of a village tank by lessees of a village tank.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of a village tank carrying on the leasing of a village tank shall make an application in Form 1 to the Block Development Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Extension Officer shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Block Development Officer within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
