STANDING ORDER
To
All Extension Officers,
Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form 2 to the District Panchayat within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Extension Officer shall ensure that demand notice is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Panchayat within fourteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
