STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Registrars,

Subject: The certification of construction by architect certifying a projects under the Maharashtra Rent Control Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Rent Control Act, 1999 (Maharashtra Act 18 of 1999), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the certification of construction by architect certifying a projects.

2. The matter has been examined. Every architect certifying a project carrying on the certification of construction shall make an application in Form B to the Rent Controller within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Registrar shall ensure that occupancy certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Rent Controller within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Maharashtra.
