STANDING ORDER

To

All Secretaries of the Gram Panchayat,

Subject: The keeping of a cattle pound by owners of a cattle pound under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a cattle pound by owners of a cattle pound.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a cattle pound carrying on the keeping of a cattle pound shall make an application in Form 6 to the Gram Sabha within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Secretary of the Gram Panchayat shall ensure that work order is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Gram Sabha within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
