STANDING ORDER
To
All Assistants Commissioner of Excise,
Subject: The keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers under the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909 (West Bengal Act 5 of 1909), the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a bonded warehouse by bonded warehouse keepers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every bonded warehouse keeper carrying on the keeping of a bonded warehouse shall make an application in Form D to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. The Assistant Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that still is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal.
