STANDING ORDER

To

All Surveyors,

Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Board of Revenue within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Surveyor shall ensure that khasra is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Odisha.
