STANDING ORDER
To
All Circle Officers,
Subject: The survey of land by licensed surveyors under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Finance Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the survey of land by licensed surveyors.
2. The matter has been examined. Every licensed surveyor carrying on the survey of land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Board of Revenue within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that holding is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Revenue within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Odisha.
