STANDING ORDER

To

All Chiefs Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad,

Subject: The operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a rural water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a rural water supply scheme shall make an application in Form 2 to the Zila Parishad within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad shall ensure that muster roll is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Zila Parishad within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
