STANDING ORDER

To

All Panchayat Development Officers,

Subject: The running of a village bus stand by licensees of a village bus stand under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 (Uttar Pradesh Act 26 of 1947), the Agriculture Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a village bus stand by licensees of a village bus stand.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a village bus stand carrying on the running of a village bus stand shall make an application in Form 7 to the District Collector within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Panchayat Development Officer shall ensure that fair is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Collector within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
