STANDING ORDER
To
All Emergency Officers,
Subject: The operation of a dam in an emergency by operators of a dam under the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Act, 1999, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Act, 1999 (Andhra Pradesh Act 27 of 1999), the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a dam in an emergency by operators of a dam.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a dam carrying on the operation of a dam in an emergency shall make an application in Form E to the Relief Commissioner within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. The Emergency Officer shall ensure that fire safety certificate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Relief Commissioner within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
