STANDING ORDER

To

All Chiefs Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad,

Subject: The keeping of a village shop by keepers of a village shop under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Ports Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of a village shop by keepers of a village shop.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a village shop carrying on the keeping of a village shop shall make an application in Form 4 to the District Collector within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad shall ensure that ferry is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Collector within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
