STANDING ORDER
To
All Revenue Inspectors,
Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Home Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of land by occupants.
2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 5 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that parcel of land is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Odisha.
