STANDING ORDER
To
All Deputy Tahsildars,
Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Housing Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Land Tribunal within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Land Tribunal within one hundred and twenty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Odisha.
