Section 25, Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999 [S1Z-QPY]

25. Registration of authors.—(1) Every author shall, within one month from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the publication of works after such commencement, within one month from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Controller in Form 3, accompanied by a fee of four thousand rupees. (2) The Controller shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No author shall carry on the publication of works unless registered under this section.
