STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1961), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Collector within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that holding is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Collector within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Gujarat.
