STANDING ORDER

To

All Chiefs Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad,

Subject: The operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme under the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 (Uttar Pradesh Act 26 of 1947), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a rural water supply scheme by operators of a rural water supply scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a rural water supply scheme carrying on the operation of a rural water supply scheme shall make an application in Form 5 to the Block Development Officer within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad shall ensure that ferry is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Block Development Officer within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
