STANDING ORDER
To
All Patwaris,
Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the General Administration Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of land by occupants.
2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the Tahsildar within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Patwari shall ensure that land revenue receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Odisha.
