STANDING ORDER

To

All Village Development Officers,

Subject: The holding of a fair by licensees of a fair under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of a fair by licensees of a fair.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a fair carrying on the holding of a fair shall make an application in Form 4 to the Gram Panchayat within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Village Development Officer shall ensure that register of buildings is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Gram Panchayat within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
