STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the cultivation of land as a sharecropper by sharecroppers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every sharecropper carrying on the cultivation of land as a sharecropper shall make an application in Form 3 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that register of holdings is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha.
