STANDING ORDER
To
All Panchayat Inspectors,
Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form 4 to the Gram Panchayat within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Gram Panchayat within forty-five days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
