STANDING ORDER

To

All Revenue Inspectors,

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Survey and Settlement Act, 1959 (Odisha Act 3 of 1959), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form 5 to the State Government within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that parcel of land is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Government within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Odisha.
