All telegraph authorities,
Subject: The use of a telecommunication service by subscribers under the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997 (24 of 1997), the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India hereby directs
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of a telecommunication service by subscribers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every subscriber carrying on the use of a telecommunication service shall make an application in Form A to the Central Government within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. The telegraph authority shall ensure that authorisation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Central Government within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this direction may be brought to the notice of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
