GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The sale of arms and ammunition by dealers in arms and ammunition under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the officer in charge of a police station, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every dealer in arms and ammunition carrying on the sale of arms and ammunition shall furnish Form II to the District Magistrate within fifteen days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in arms and ammunition carrying on the sale of arms and ammunition shall make an application in Form II to the District Magistrate within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the sale of arms and ammunition is undertaken, and the District Magistrate shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
