Section 1, Energy Conservation Act, 2001 [S20-STD]
As at 8 September 2026. In force from 24 June 2002 by S.O. 2454(E) [N12-B7C].
1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Energy Conservation Act, 2001. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint, and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act.
