Removal of difficulty.—Where a employee had, before the commencement of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, carried on employment in a covered establishment under a licence granted under the law then in force, such licence shall be deemed to have been granted under the Act and shall remain in force for fifteen days from such commencement or until it expires, whichever is earlier.
