Removal of difficulty.—Where a financial institution had, before the commencement of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 2000, carried on the business of a financial institution under a licence granted under the law then in force, such licence shall be deemed to have been granted under the Act and shall remain in force for sixty days from such commencement or until it expires, whichever is earlier.
