Removal of difficulty.—Where a licensee had, before the commencement of the Bird and Company Limited (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings and Other Properties) Act, 1980, carried on the carrying on of a licensed activity under a licence granted under the law then in force, such licence shall be deemed to have been granted under the Act and shall remain in force for ninety days from such commencement or until it expires, whichever is earlier.
