Section 2, Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982 [S2J-0Z8]

2. Definitions.—In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "institution" means an institution of higher education recognised under this Act; (b) "Commission" means the Commission established under this Act; (c) "degree" means any such degree as may, with the previous approval of the State Government, be specified in this behalf by the Commission by notification in the Official Gazette; (d) "school" means any recognised school imparting elementary education; (e) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette, and the expression "notified" shall be construed accordingly; (f) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
