2. Definitions.—In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "institution" means an institution of higher education recognised under this Act; (b) "Commission" means the Commission established under this Act; (c) "school" means any recognised school imparting elementary education; (d) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette, and the expression "notified" shall be construed accordingly; (e) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
