Section 2, Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayuktas Act, 1975 [S2H-BCT]

2. Definitions.—In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) "public authority" means any authority or body or institution of self-government established or constituted by or under the Constitution, by any other law made by Parliament, or by notification issued or order made by the appropriate Government; (b) "notification" means a notification published in the Official Gazette, and the expression "notified" shall be construed accordingly; (c) "prescribed" means prescribed by rules made under this Act.
