14. Procedure for the operation of a ferry.—(1) Every operator of a ferry shall, before undertaking the operation of a ferry, intimate the Gram Panchayat in writing, specifying the fair concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Gram Panchayat may, within thirty days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
