12. Procedure for the keeping of a shop in a village market.—(1) Every shopkeeper in a village market shall, before undertaking the keeping of a shop in a village market, intimate the Gram Panchayat in writing, specifying the building concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Gram Panchayat may, within sixty days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
