Rule 11, Immigration And Foreigner Act Rules, 2026 [S2D-3JX]

11. Procedure for residence in India.—(1) Every foreigner shall, before undertaking residence in India, intimate the passport authority in writing, specifying the passport concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The passport authority may, within thirty days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
