Rule 12, Securities and Exchange Board of India Act Rules, 1995 [S1Y-S58]

12. Procedure for the business of a stock broker.—(1) Every stock broker shall, before undertaking the business of a stock broker, intimate the Board in writing, specifying the intermediary concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Board may, within forty-five days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
