Section 39, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act, 1986 [S1T-S9N]

39. Registration of producers.—(1) Every producer shall, within one hundred and twenty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the production of agricultural produce after such commencement, within sixty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Registrar in Form A, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees. (2) The Registrar shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No producer shall carry on the production of agricultural produce unless registered under this section.
