14. Procedure for the holding of a passport.—(1) Every passport holder shall, before undertaking the holding of a passport, intimate the passport authority in writing, specifying the travel document concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The passport authority may, within thirty days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
