Section 4, Oil Fields (Regulation and Development) Act, 1948 [S19-76G]

4. Registration of distributions licensee.—(1) Every distribution licensee shall, within thirty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the distribution of electricity after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Central Commission in Form II, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees. (2) The Central Commission shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No distribution licensee shall carry on the distribution of electricity unless registered under this section.
