Section 18, Live-stock Importation Act, 1898 [S15-DX1]

18. Registration of units.—(1) Every unit shall, within one hundred and eighty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the setting up of a unit after such commencement, within one hundred and eighty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Director General in Form ANF-2A, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees. (2) The Director General shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No unit shall carry on the setting up of a unit unless registered under this section.
