Section 46, Shore Nuisances (Bombay and Kolaba) Act, 1853 [S11-H68]

46. Registration of owners.—(1) Every owner shall, within one hundred and eighty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the holding of land after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Collector in Form 2, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees. (2) The Collector shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No owner shall carry on the holding of land unless registered under this section.
