No. 630/2008.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 24 of 2003), the State Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts distribution licensees whose annual value of the distribution of electricity does not exceed one lakh rupees from the provisions of section 4 of the said Act, subject to the condition that every such person shall intimate the Appropriate Commission in writing of the commencement of the distribution of electricity within thirty days of such commencement.
