STANDING ORDER

All Welfare Officers,

Subject: The running of a facilitation centre by facilitation centres under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982), the Transport Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a facilitation centre by facilitation centres.

2. The matter has been examined. Every facilitation centre carrying on the running of a facilitation centre shall make an application in Form 9 to the appropriate Government within forty-two days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Welfare Officer shall ensure that register of employees is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the appropriate Government within forty-two days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
