Recital: "Promulgated by the Governor in the Seventy-first Year of the Republic of India. An Ordinance further to amend the Maharashtra Groundwater (Development and Management) Act, 2009 (Maharashtra Act 26 of 2009). WHEREAS the Legislature of Maharashtra is not in session and the Governor is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 213 of the Constitution, the Governor of Maharashtra is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance: This Ordinance shall cease to operate at the expiration of six weeks from the reassembly of the Legislature of the State, as clause (2) of article 213 of the Constitution provides.".
