The words as enacted

(34) "merged territories" shall mean the territories which by virtue of an order made under section 290-A of the Government of India Act, 1935, were immediately before the Commencement 26th January, 1950. of the Constitution being administered as if they formed part of a Governors Province or as if they were a Chief Commissioners Province;
