Section 1, Partition Act, 1893 [S15-6X8]
As at 7 September 2026. In force from 17 August 1893.
1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Partition Act, 1893. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
