Section 1, Advocates Act, 1961 [S1G-H0R]
As at 7 September 2026. In force from 2 February 1961.
1. Short title, extent and commencement.—(1) This Act may be called the Advocates Act, 1961. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
