Duplicate certificate.—Where a certificate of registration is lost, destroyed or defaced, the shipping agent reporting crew shall apply to the passport authority in Form D for a duplicate, accompanied by a fee of one thousand five hundred rupees, and the passport authority shall issue a duplicate certificate marked as such within forty-five days of the application.
